Project overview

Industry

Industrial Thermal Processing

Application

High-Temperature Kiln Exhaust

Equipment / Fan Type

AirPro P14A 340

Horsepower

15 HP

Materials

310 stainless steel, high-temperature nickel alloy wheel

Components

Flexible coupling, spring isolators, flexible connectors, purgeable shaft seal

The challenge

The facility needed a fan capable of meeting specific airflow and pressure requirements in an extremely high-temperature environment.

The challenge extended beyond temperature resistance. The fan also needed to maintain stable operation across a range of flows and pressures as process conditions changed.

Achieving the required performance called for careful coordination of equipment design, system layout, and overall process requirements.

The solution

Dynamic Air Solutions worked closely with the customer throughout the project, providing support from initial design through completion.

The team assisted with equipment drawings, layout planning, process design, and airflow requirements to develop a configuration suited to the application.

A custom AirPro P14A 340 fan was selected with specialized high-temperature construction, including a 310 stainless-steel airstream and high-temperature nickel alloy wheel.

Additional features, including flexible inlet and outlet connections, vibration isolation, and a purgeable shaft seal, were incorporated to support reliable operation in the demanding process environment.

Equipment & components

Key outcomes:

  • Fan designed for temperatures up to 1,600°F
  • Equipment configured for the specified airflow and pressure requirements
  • Design developed to address stability across varying operating conditions
  • Engineering and layout support provided from initial design through completion
  • Fan installed and operating without reported issues

The fan has been successfully installed and is running as expected. While the overall facility was not yet confirmed to be fully operational at the time of the project update, Dynamic Air Solutions remained involved throughout the equipment design and delivery process.
